My client is a reputable and well known concern in the agricultural industry. They have a vacancy for an Administrative and Logistics Assistant with 2 - 3 year logistics experience. A degree will count in your favor.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include:
• Arranging transport
• Negotiation of transport rates
• Sending of load cons
• Communication with suppliers and loading points
• Follow-up with trucks to determine ETA
• Keeping clients informed regarding status of cargo
• Updating system from loaded to delivered
• Handle everyday logistical challenges
• Adding new transporters and updating insurance
• Develop relationships with transporters and clients
• Daily admin functions
• Collecting POD's
• Weekly planning of truck movements and delivery
• Opening and sending of contracts and collection of signed contracts
• Invoicing
• Supplier payments
• Loading of transport invoices
Requirements:
Min matric
A relevant qualification in Logistics will be advantageous
Relevant experience
Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
