Our client in the Pinetown area is recruiting for a Brand Manager, for a Health and Medical Solutions business unit.
Collecting, compiling, verifying and analysing data on market trends, consumer behaviours and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for the product.
Collecting, compiling, verifying and analysing data on product performance and customer feedback to identify product features that need to be changed to meet customer needs.
Maintaining records of sales volumes, revenues and advertising costs and analysis of this data against forecasts to identify areas where the sales performance of the product needs to be improved.
Developing knowledge of the organisation’s brands, products, services and customers by working closely with more experienced brand/product managers.
Supporting agreed marketing activities like launch plans or BTL and ATL communication activities.
Formulating and implementing strategic plans for the brand, relating to the market positioning, new product usage, profitable and competitive pricing and promotional opportunities.
Initiating product trials, new product development and profit improvement projects to ensure timeous launch to market.
Engaging with Advertising, PR and Design agencies in the implementation of advertising and promotional plans and strategies
Identifying and participating in all the relevant and influential medical societies where promotional opportunities can result in commercial opportunities for the company.
Developing educational tools e.g. video, booklets, workshops, slides for the benefit and purpose of supporting Sales teams and customers.
Offering product technical support to sales teams and also call on key customers nationally.
Compiling, monitoring and reporting on the annual sales budget and sales performance
Liaising with Sales, Supply chain, Production/ Technical departments to ensure effective and profitable supply of product to the market
A minimum of Matric and a relevant Degree or Diploma (preferably specializing in Marketing)
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Marketing role is essential.
Commercial Understanding, Customer and Consumer driven
Fast and efficient worker who can cope under pressure;
High attention to detail, numerate and fully computer literate in MS Word,
