Three years or more experience in Maintenance Management.
Must have a Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma or Mechanical/Electrical Trade.
Strong knowledge of Assetcare (RCM/TPM and/or other).
Devise and Execute the Maintenance/Asset Care Plan and manage safety
Role Profile: Maintenance Manager
The role of the Maintenance Manager is to ensure compliance with all legal statutory requirement within the Engineering Department (Production line and Utilities), effective management of all engineering assets regarding maintenance and repair. Compliance with safety standards and guidelines and drive a safety culture and ensure safety in the workplace.
Key roles and responsibilities
Maintenance/Asset care Practice Owner for the Plant.
Use effective Loss and Waste analysis to identify gaps in the Plant Maintenance system. Drive actions to close the gaps.
Monthly review of WCM gap closure and score. Quarterly review managed. Monthly and quarterly updates sent to Divisional Functional owner.
Organize, implement and execute Maintenance/Asset care in Area.
Manage the Plant and Department indicators to achieve target.
Achieve commitments for Department and Maintenance for Plant.
Lead the Maintenance Budgeting process for the Plant.
Manage Engineering Stores inventory to optimize Working Capital.
Manage Engineering Stores, Site Maintenance, Condition Monitoring, Control and Automation infrastructure.
Attend the Plant's routine meetings
Interface with appropriate Local government authorities to ensure compliance to statutory policies and regulations for pressure vessels
Plan and execute the actions required to comply with the applicable, local, state and municipality laws.
Ensure and assure suitable training capability exists (material and facilitators) suitable to cover Maintenance training needs
Raise the training and development needs of your team and ensure their execution.
Manager the apprentice development program for the Plant.
Ensure targeted Assetcare GSE compliance % is achieved.
Manage capex project portfolio and execution of projects vs. plan for the Plant.
Ensure the correct scoping of Plant Capex Projects for the Plant.
Ensure a 3 year plan exists for Maintenance and replacement of C&A infrastructure due to obsolescence.
Ensure a 3 year plan exists for Maintenance and replacement of Plant Equipment across Sites.
Lead, coach and train team members.
Ensure continuous improvement in engagement of people in the Plant
Manage 5S inside the department.
Co-ordinate and assure Tracking and Monitoring Maintenance information to the Divisional is correct and timeously submitted
Profile: Qualification and Experience required
Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma or Mechanical/Electrical Trade
3+ Years in Maintenance Management
Good working experience on Microsoft Excel/Office.
Good ERP proficiency.
Strong knowledge of Assetcare (RCM/TPM and/or other)
Conversant with the OHS Act.
Strong Technical Problem Solving ability.
Ability to work under pressure.
