Duties & Responsibilities
Follow up and collect all outstanding monies from current and ex-tenants who are in arrears for payment regularly.
Negotiate on payment arrangements.
Provide statements to relevant parties when required.
View banking unallocated and suspense accounts for payments received with incorrect reference numbers and send correct information to banking.
Calculate assessment rates and send to the stakeholder.
Carry out recons on outstanding tenant queries.
Update Tenant Reports on Budget Packs.
Provide feedback on arrears on a monthly period.
Ensure that all files handed over to the Legal Department are accurate and complete.
Reconcile tenant accounts & ensure proper feedback is provided including credit balances.
Send out the appropriate arrears letters.
Black list all tenants/slow payers as per company policy which have been written off.
Update the notes regularly on the arrears report.
Ensure that all instructions are issued timeously where adjustments to tenant accounts are made.
Update and correct tenant information as required.
Reconcile credit balance accounts to make sure that they are correct.
Attend the monthly meetings with the Credit Control Manager.
Check the rent-roll reconciliation report on a monthly basis.
Attend to tenant cases including CRM cases timeously & effectively.
Desired Experience & Qualification
MDA will be an advantage
MUST have experience with rent collections in property industry - NOT NEGOTIABLE
5 years of experience in credit control, debt collection and reconciliations
Package & Remuneration
R19 000 - R21 000 p.m. depending on experience and qualifications
