Job Description:
We're now accepting applications for the position of Electronics Workshop Supervisor. The purpose of the position will be to oversee electronics workshop tasks and operations on a day to day basis, and to supervise electronics workshop staff in performing assembly, installation, alteration, repair, fault finding, calibration and testing of electronic equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the supervision and smooth running and planning of the EWS Department
Leading the HSE audits and drafting, implementation and monitoring of corrective actions
Responsible for completion and monitoring of monthly reporting
Drafting, review, training and monitoring of work instructions, calibration reports, calibration certificates
Responsible for the warehouse stock take
Responsible for NCR investigation and implementation of corrective actions
Responsible for planning and implementation of Weekly Toolbox talks.
Responsible for maintenance planning
Responsible for supervising and carrying out predictive, scheduled maintenance and electronic repairs
Ensure maintenance of and adherence to workmanship standards
Complete all relevant documentation related to the test and repair of products
Generate feedback to the department head concerning the quality, production processes and test procedures
Highlight technical problems encountered on the products
Ensure proper use and safe keeping of tools
Control test equipment and tools
Collection and transfer of data for statistical purposes
Liaise with clients regarding technical support
Responsible for handling production orders that fail QC and see that they are repaired to standard as required
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric and National Higher Diploma in Electronic Communication/Applied Electronics/Instrumentation
At least 5 years supervising an electronics workshop
At least 3 years experience with hands on electronic repairs
NDT instrumentation repair and calibration experience
Must be willing to travel
Knowledge of SAP
