Job Description:
Ensures the schedule meets customer requirements while balancing corporate goals for inventory levels and on-time shipments.
Coordinates substrate availability with suppliers to meet the production schedule.
Collaborates with “Company” operations in optimizing the supply plan as it relates to customer satisfaction through best practices.
Reschedules, as appropriate, to meet changing customer requirements
Duties & Responsibilities
Routinely produces and updates a detailed production plan with necessary systems.
Work with the rest of the planning team to keep the plan up to date and optimized to maximize availability of finished goods for customers and minimize line downtime.
Monitors customer orders and releases for unexpected changes.
Adjust the schedule accordingly while assisting the Supply Chain team in minimizing obsolescence.
Use MPS/ MRP systems and other automated systems to forecast and release substrate requirements to suppliers.
Coordinates timely delivery of substrate requirements from suppliers to meet the production plan.
Regularly monitors substrate inventory levels to optimize average stocks and potential obsolescence.
Assist with regular cycle counts, monthly PGM inventories, and major inventory projects.
Production planning or inventory control experience (minimum 2 years), including work order creation or execution, highly desired; or any equivalent relevant combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Can demonstrate strong planning and organising skills to ensure work is completed efficiently.
Has a strong attention to detail.
