Job Description:
Major Manufacturing plant in Middleburg has a vacancy for a Recruitment Psychometrist/Practitioner. You will be responsible for training, coaching, guidance support. Manage the Bursary programme, Draft policies & Procedures, conduct project psychometric assessments. Provide feedback and detailed reporting. Benchmark psychometric tools, improvement proposals, manage psychometry-related contracts, registrations etc. Manage the vacancy list, advertisements and ensure appointments adhere to specifications and company policies. The company is based in Middelburg and will assist with relocation costs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Main job function
Manage the vacancy list and ensure appointments made adhere to documented specifications, compile/proofread internal and external advertisements
Liaise with internal and external service providers for publication as well as ensure that recruitment and selection processes adhere to methodology, quality and timeframe policies
Provide recruitment training, coaching, guidance and support to Line Managers and HR personnel
Co-ordinate mass intakes of learners, graduate trainees, bursary students, vacation and pre-bursary students
Manage the Bursary Programme (needs analyses, selection, contracts, student performance management and payment processing)
Draft policies and procedures,
Conduct ad hoc and project psychometric assessments
Provide accurate, professional and timeous feedback (verbal/written reports) to candidates, managers and HR Practitioners.
Conduct research/analyses and writing-related reports/proposals
Ensure that all psychometry-related activities adhere to SA legislation and best practice
Continuously benchmarking psychometric tools, improvement proposals and overseeing the implementation of software installations/upgrades
Managing psychometry-related contracts, registrations, payments and testing credit availability.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
An Honours degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology is a minimum requirement.
HPCSA registration as a Psychometrist (Supervised or Independent Practice)
Experience/Criteria
5-7 years’ experience in recruitment
2 years as Psychometrist
Experience in a Heavy Engineering/Mining or Manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
Skills as Targeted Selection Practitioner, in-depth working knowledge of EQI, SHL and Psytech test user and IRIS Practitioner will be highly advantageous.
Knowledge of relevant legislation – Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Employment Equity Act, EE legislation and Transformation principles will be required
Excellent administration skills and proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Able to work and communicate appropriately with all levels of employees - up to senior and executive level,
Deal with several issues simultaneously and have excellent English verbal, reading and writing skills.
A self-starter with the ability to work independently who is disciplined and detail-oriented
A clear sense of urgency
High levels of energy and stress tolerance.
Further requirements include sound judgement, decision-making, good conflict handling and facilitation skills.
