Job Description:
A well established firm within the Retail sector is looking for an experienced Distribution Manager for their branch in Windhoek. The suitable candidate must be a Namibian Citizen.
Duties & Responsibilities
Accountable for the implementation of company policies, standards of internal procedures, the application of employment practices and achieved efficiencies in the following areas in the Distribution Centre:
Receiving
Stock Control
Order picking and order checking
Vehicle loading, despatch and distribution
Crates department (issues and returns)
Production
Desired Experience & Qualification
A tertiary qualification with commercial / management subjects will be a definite advantage
A successful track record at management level in an operations / transport / distribution environment is essential
This experience should include inter alia, Occupational Health and Safety, expense management and the budget process
A minimum of 3 years' management experience is required
Product knowledge of fruit and vegetables will be an advantage
Experience in employee management and the handling disciplinary procedures, as well as good interpersonal skills at management and staff level, is essential
Good all round computer literacy is essential
