Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage shifts within the Production Teams to ensure optimum production levels.
Manage and coordinate level meetings and drive the ‘Way Better’ teams.
Drives productivity (OEE & OPP), coach and motivate team members.
Address all staff related issues within his/her specific department.
Ensure that quality assurance is adhered to and ensures End Product Integrity.
Manage inputs and outputs with regard to Processing processes.
Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) are in place and manage Good Housekeeping Practices (5’s) within department.
Manage first-line maintenance & inspections to ensure correct and efficient use of machinery and factory equipment.
Manage and support team leaders to implement employee’s learning & development.
Manage, coordinate and instil discipline within the department.
Manage the processing processes according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and manage and ensures that Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) is done at end of shifts.
Daily factory planning and scheduling.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Tertiary qualification in Dairy / Industrial Engineering or substantial progress towards obtaining such a qualification.
3 - 5 years relevant working experience in dairy / processing environment.
Good knowledge of administrative and financial processes.
Analytical ability.
Good managerial skills in managing subordinates.
Sound knowledge of MS: Package and Pragma.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be proficient in managing change.
Sound knowledge and understanding of IR processes.
Continuous Improvement Experience
Must be able to work under pressure.
Willingness to work irregular hours.
