Our client based in North West is looking for a Department Manager process auditing to manage process quality management system in support of a defect-free manufacturing goal using various tools as per IATF16949:2016 and other relevant standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Education and Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric)
5 years’ management experience (must include experience in IATF16949)
Process and product auditing
Quality core tools implementation/maintenance in production environment.
Degree (B.Sc. /B. Tech) – Technical Qualification (Industrial, Operations, Mechanical, Chemical, Chemistry).
Quality Management System; 1st & 2nd party auditor.
Process Auditor (approved qualification)
Knowledge of Statistical Process Controls.
Six Sigma Green Belt; 8D Team Oriented Problem Solving (added advantage).

Maintenance of process Quality Management System process
Monitoring of process quality gates to ensure compliance with process requirements and prevent generation of waste.
Promotion of adherence to quality requirements by coaching on-the-floor.
Manage quality improvement processes around waste and scrap reduction using problem-solving techniques.
Complete root-cause analysis on scrap and waste using the top-loss philosophy and applicable problem-solving tools.
Report back to management on scrap and waste programs.
Management of internal process audits
Execution of internal process audits according to the VDA6.3 auditing standard and as per audit plans.
Follow-up corrective actions issued on internal process audits to ensure timeous completion and effectiveness.
Process and product capability monitoring and improvements.
Implement process monitoring methods such as Statistical Process Control and Capability studies according to IATF16949:2016 and customer specific requirements.
Take appropriate actions on out-of-control processes as per company and customer-specific guidelines.
Train relevant shop-floor employees on process monitoring techniques.
Monitor implementation of IATF16949 core-tools and provide feedback to management on the level of implementation.
Control of non-conforming materials
See to the disposition of non-conforming materials in the plant (semi-finished and finished goods).
Carry out regular process checks to ensure proper identification and storage of non-conforming materials.
Track occurrence of frequent types of dispositioned materials and address systematically – problem-solving methods applied to the top-loss categories.
Review defects from X-ray machines and disposition according to defined standards
