Job Description:
Our client is a large Mining Company based in the Northern Cape with multiple operations in Southern Africa. They have an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual with experience in Mine Management, Technical Mining Disciplines and Business Strategy within the Mining environment. – GM Level and above.
Duties & Responsibilities
To ensure production targets and profit margins are achieved cost-effectively on a sustainable basis for the mine.
To develop and implement the strategic plan for the mine and directly assist in the strategic management process.
Technical project planning.
Safety is key accountability.
Training & development.
An understanding of business and financial concepts.
An entrepreneurial self-starter, agile and decisive, you will have strong leadership and an outstanding track record of success. You will have the ability to champion change and lead the business to unprecedented levels of performance.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
General Management experience required
High level experience in driving mine performance, deliverables and measurement matrixes.
8 – 10 years' working experience in a large reputable mining environment.
Open cast and underground mining experience would be considered.
Strong Technical mining experience i.e. Engineering and Geo Sciences etc.
Experienced in Strategic Planning for Mines.
Strong implimenter of strategies and action plans and managing teams to deliver optimal results.
Qualifications:
Engineering Degree or similar
MBA or similar business qualification would be beneficial
Statutory Mining Qualifications i.e. Mine Manager's Certification, Blasting Certification etc would be beneficial.
Package & Remuneration
Salary is negotiable from R1.8mil pa upwards.
