Our client has a strong portfolio of e-commerce and other brands, that are category leaders through value-driven marketing, product selection and execution. They have a well-established footprint throughout Africa and are based in Cape Town. E-commerce/Network Marketing/On-line sales, customer facing website, Mobile App space experience is essential for this role to deliver excellent customer service. They are looking for a DevOps IT Lead to build, test and maintain the infrastructure and tools to allow for the speedy development and release of software & to simplify the development process of software Coding.
Duties & Responsibilities
Main job function
Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results
Ensure the system is safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
Identify technical problems and developing software updates and “fixes”
Planning out projects and be involved in project management decisions
Building
Testing risks
Packaging
Releasing
Configuring - infrastructure configuration and management
Monitoring etc.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
Matric
Relevant IT Tertiary qualification
Experience/Criteria
Excellent teamworking and communication skills
Understand the need of stakeholders and convey this to developers
Knowledge of programming languages
Strong problem - solving skills
Good attention to details
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
