Job Description:
Looking for a Gauteng based (JHB/PTA) high-performing Sales Manager to help meet customer acquisition and revenue and volume growth targets by keeping the company competitive and innovative. Responsible for maximizing sales team potential, crafting sales budgets and plans, justifying those plans to the upper management. Ensuring those targets are consistently met and ensuring 100% store execution in terms of the company’s in-store KPI’s and marketing and promotional activity. To continuously seek new customers and markets and to grow the HCP universe with a strong focus on Dr detailing
Duties & Responsibilities
Achieve growth and hit sales targets by effectively developing, managing and mentoring the sales team
Responsible to hold weekly and ad-hoc sales meetings with the internal and external sales and merchandising teams
To ensure servicing and monitoring of all stores against given KPI’s, to gain shelf space width and depth across agreed planograms and gain meaningful cross-merchandising to ensure sales volumes in excess of sales share
Ensure every day and promotional price compliance and merchandising flow
Manage stock holding, rate of sale and quality in the trade
To ensure merchandising and displays built as negotiated with key accounts and seek in-store branding and promotional opportunities to maximise sales out
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them, understanding their needs and developing and maintaining strategic plans specific for each major customer.
Complete and submit sales, revenue, expense and profitability reports and realistic forecasts to the management team on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Budgetary control of all aspects pertaining to the sales division, including controlling and managing the promotional budget (forward share and promotions)
Ensure price compliance
Assist the credit and operations departments with collections and issue resolution
Identify new business, market shifts and trends while being fully aware of new products and competitor status
Implementation and execution of marketing strategies at trade level
To ensure compliance of all health and safety rules and regulations in line with company policy and procedures
Showcase strong cross-functional relationships within Sunstone Brands and group companies

Desired Experience & Qualification
·Successful previous experience as a sales representative and sales/regional manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets – Minimum 5 years
·Good understanding and working knowledge of the various sales channels – Corporate Pharmacy (Dis-Chem, Clicks, Medirite, Independent Wholesalers and Pharmacy, Dr. Detailing (Health Care Providers), FMCG, Sports and Outdoor – the main focus being the pharma industry
·Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
·Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
·Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
·Strong business sense and industry expertise
·Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
·Ability to travel on a national level between regions bi-monthly
·Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
·Comprehensive vehicle insurance with rental car option when required
