Client in the Transport Industry requires the services of an Assistant Accounting Manager at their offices in Tshwane as soon as possible

Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, manage and maintain financial records and reporting systems
Develop, manage and maintain information systems
Preparation and co-ordination of budgets
Maintain effective controls and develop new internal controls when required.
Maintain effective internal and external relationships
Full accounting function of the BU.
Conduct audits (both planned and unplanned)
Implement and manage Policies and Procedures
Checking and approval of all Journals and Subsidiary Ledgers.
Authorize overtime for subordinates within company directive
Monitor and control General Office Administration
Supervision of Stocks takes
Compiling of monthly Subcontractor claims
Assist with / compile annual budgets
Deputies for Accounting Manager in his absence
Desired Experience & Qualification
BComm or equivalent qualification – an Honours Degree would be advantageous
Extensive general Management Accounting experience, incorporating the full spectrum of Accounting Administration and record keeping
Completed articles at Auditors Firm or equivalent experience
Computer Literate (All modules of MS Office with advanced Excel experience.
3 – 5 years supervisory experience
Knowledge of the key financial management principles & procedures, especially budget development and management, profitability ratios etc.
Knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures and related legislation
Knowledge of the bus passenger industry
Experience/ Exposure to Tender Contract Systems.
Sub-contractor payments and payment processes.
Good planning and organizing skills.
Good interpersonal and human relations skills
Excellent time management skills.
Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
Ability to exercise sound judgment
Above average written and oral communication skills
Analytical skills to translate trends into decisive action.
Succession planning and on job coaching skills to facilitate staff development.

Package & Remuneration
Salary between R520 - R685K per annum
