Financial accountant to oversee the financial accounts of company, keep track of and reporting on financial transactions. Preparing financial statements and reports, making recommendations for spending or cost cuts.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage supplier payments
Review correct allocations in general ledger
Responsible for all aspects relating to Fixed Assets
Monthly journals
Review creditors reconciliations
Review cashbook reconciliations
Balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in month end & year end procedures
Perform VAT reconciliations & submission
Assisting in Financial queries within company
Review payroll monthly
Assist in yearly external audit
Excel skills

Creating quotes.
Processing of orders.
Processing of delivery notes/sign off documents after completion of order.
Processing of invoices - monthly and once off.
Monthly reconciliation of accounts – statements distribution.
Placement of orders at suppliers.
Payment of suppliers – domestic and international.
Monthly reconciliation of accounts.
Intracompany tasks
Monthly cashbook, journal entries.
Payroll, submit and monthly salary payments.
Salary advise distribution.
VAT submissions bimonthly.
SARS payments – EMP (monthly), VAT (monthly), Income tax (twice a year provisional, annual assessed).
Yearly collection of documentation for audits.
Liaise with colleagues.
Creating quotes on request basis.
Processing of orders received from customers.
Processing of delivery notes/sign off documents after completion of order.
Processing of invoices - monthly and once off.
Monthly reconciliation of accounts – statements distribute.
Supplier related tasks
Placement of orders at suppliers
Payment of suppliers – domestic and international
Monthly reconciliation of accounts.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Degree plus 1 to 3 years in a Financial Accountant role.
