My client in the Concrete/Readymix Industry seeks a Batcher that comes from the Readymix/ Concrete Industry.
We need to be someone that can manager day to day operation in absence of the Plant/ Comercial supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Plant Operator/Batcher must keep record of the batch concrete in the sequence in which it occurs to ensure that proper records are kept for reference purposes:
The Plant Operator/Batcher will check before mixing of the load concerned. It is important that the entries in the batch sheet are not only correct and checked against the delivery note but are entered in the exact sequence in which loading takes place.
The number of the truck loaded must be the same as entered on the sheet and also, on the delivery note.
Batching of concrete will be batched from standard mix designs for different mixes.
The Plant Operator/Batcher must complete the plant operators batching sheet
every time a truck is loaded.
The Plant Operator/Batcher will record any defects at the plant and equipment which are found during the pre-start check or which occur during the course of production
The Plant Operator/Batcher must batch all concrete to ensure that orders are complied with and must make sure of the following:
Determine the details of the load of concrete required by reading the order / load sheet carefully or in case of a radio message repeat the message back to the driver to ensure the details have been received correctly.
Cross check the load number details with the load sheet, if not the same, check with the order clerk which are the correct details.
If crosscheck is correct and confirmed, carefully fill in all the details on the delivery note, these must be written clearly so they can be easily read by other people.
Check the order in which the trucks are queued for loading and fill in all the details on the plant operator / batcher batching book.
Ensuring plant shut-down the Plant Operator/Batcher must comply with the following
Confirm with the Plant General Worker that all bins are empty of raw material.
If not arrange a truck mixer under the plant and discharge all raw materials in the truck.
See that the truck is emptied at a different place in the plant courtyard and not in the stockpile of raw materials.
See that the batch room is clean and tidy.
All forms completed and packed away.
See that the batch room main switch is in the off position and that the batch room is locked.
If the Plant Operator/Batcher sees any of the following problems he must immediately contact the Plant Manager and ask for guidance:
The plant conveyor does not appear to be in good running order.
The plant or any part of it breaks down and the general worker or manager cannot see or hear it.
Difficulties in getting the plant up and in running order for the next batch.
Any unusual or dangerous requests by the customer or any other person.
Any difficulties of any kind at the batching bench / computer.
Any other irregular occurrences
Perform any duty or function assigned to you from time to time that are reasonable and lawful.
