Financial Reporting Manager (Fruit Export)
Our client isone of the country’s leading fruit exporters, recruits for a Financial Reporting Manager that is to add to the Company’s human resources talent pool. This vacancy offers a challenging role to a dynamic individual, who is driven by attention to detail in reporting and motivated by deadlines.
Reporting to the Financial Director you will be based at our CPT offices (Tygervalley-area), but also work closely with our farms in the Northern Cape and other projects in Southern Africa.
Minimum knowledge & experience required to perform this job competently:
Education & Experience:
A chartered accountant with 3-5 years post article experience in the Agri environment with technical IFRS & US GAAP accounting knowledge and experience
Key Performance Areas (KPA’s):
KPA’s will include (but are not limited to) the following essential responsibilities:
Ensure a smooth, time – and cost efficient external audit that includes a findings report with no material findings • Reporting: timeous provision of management accounts, incl. variance reporting, reporting to Corporate, as well as timeous, accurate AFS ito IFRS • Ensure adherence & compliance with the Group’s Accounting Policies & Systems that complies to IFRS and US GAAP • Timeous management of GL recons and corporate schedules • Tax reporting & calculations • Perform other ad-hoc tasks requests
Attributes / Requirements:
Knowledge of the KPA’s mentioned: Profile that are energized via: meticulous accuracy and attention to detail of accounting records in terms of local and global accounting policies and - standards • strict reporting and submission deadlines • passion to keep up to date with latest accounting standards’/-developments • Good computer software skills (Accpac preferable) • Current IFRS, US GAAP & Company Tax knowledge • Working experience & knowledge of the requirements of the Companies Act • Good communication & interaction skills with people on all levels in the organization • Ability to guide, direct & influence people in such a way that outputs are positively performed
