Duties & Responsibilities
Actuarial Specialist
Sandton, Johannesburg
Life and non life insurance but mostly non life
Talented actuarial professional, with a specific focus on non-life reserving and capital
Involved in first-line actuarial work including regulatory and financial reporting
Work closely with the senior management team
Key in the development and maintenance of actuarial models
Perform actuarial calculations across multiple insurance and reinsurance entities in South Africa, Ireland and Mauritius
First-line / corporate actuarial deliverables
Regulatory and financial reporting, including reserving and capital calculations
Production of management information, including reporting on risk appetite measures
Ad-hoc analyses – actuarial investigations as required from time to time
