Our client in the Engineering Industry is seeking to appoint a dynamic Senior Business Development Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum education (essential) - Engineering degree
Minimum applicable work experience (years) - 8 or more years in a Technical Product Sales Role
Language proficiency - English + One other (European language an advantage)
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND TASKS:
Generate and process orders from existing and new customers in the geography of responsibility to ensure profit achievement.
Build consistent monthly value of status 1 and 2 product sales.
Setup and management of pipeline.
Manage order placement and processing procedure.
Actively build on customer knowledge and develop appropriate strategic documents.
Knowledge of market and competitor analysis sharing into the organization
Ensure compliance with Arms Control Regulations.
Customer care, satisfaction and service:
Ensure customer satisfaction.
Meet with clients directly at least thrice per annum
Be the interface between customer and internal departments.
Communicate customers feedback.
Effectively balance the needs of internal and external customers and the business’ capability to meet those needs.
Anticipate and identify customer needs and specifications.
Protect customers’ interests in the organization in a balanced commercially viable way.
Ensure through the department’s systems and processes, the effective utilization of resources, that a customer focused service is delivered.
Maintain and monitor information on customer level and take corrective action as appropriate
Compile quotations and process PO’s.
Update SalesForce information to allow transparency on opportunities
Understand the business to add value to the organization.
Understand the ever-changing market forces and customer needs as well as how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
Accurately interpret information, benchmarks, forecasts, trends, and product announcements and respond appropriately thereon.
Analysing and Problem Solving:
