Company within the Packaging industry seeks an Imports Co-ordinator with strong Excel skills! Position is available for a start ASAP
Duties & Responsibilities
Download and verify all new shipping documents per shipment
Combine orders relating to shipments (more than one order in container)
Shipping documents received & payment request: prepare costing worksheet (excel) per shipment
Shipments delivered: download and print all forwarding agent and transporter invoices and supporting documents (GRV from warehouse) to finalize costing
Dealing with queries relating to any incorrect charges from forwarding agent and transporter
Send final costing to CFO for approval, when approved bring into stock
Updating shipments ETAs weekly
Tracking and tracing of shipments (Air and Sea freight)
Buying of products that will be imported (via Air and Sea freight)
Placing orders with suppliers
Costings to be done
Recons to be completed
GRV’s completed for goods that need to be booked into warehouse
Arranging for payments to be processed with the bank
Booking Foreign currency
Liaising with suppliers
Compiling Budgets and keeping them up-to-date
Ensuring Service Delivery levels are met with Forwarders
Buying
Must be well organised
Attention to detail is a must
Placing of orders with suppliers overseas
Confirming orders and packaging and payments
Liaising with clearing agent regarding orders
Following up on containers
Keeping track of shipments and accurate dates
Sorting out of queries on orders
Updating shipments eta
Management files to be kept up to date and in order
Admin Work
Matric
Relevant tertiary qualification
Min 5 years Procurement and Imports experience
Technical Industry experience will be an advantage
100% Imports duties
Strong Excel
