Job Description:
CRITERIA REQUIRED
Reside in or around Swellendam, Western Cape
Assistant Field technicians provide field assistance in network maintenance, network build and CPE installations and faults
The effective execution of tasks related to implementing network infrastructure and services and its ongoing maintenance. This includes undertaking works in all provinces on company’s national footprint
The role requires work to be performed during business and non-business hours as required due to the nature of the scheduled and unscheduled works required by company as a 24/7/365
FOCUS AREAS
Availability to perform highly technical field works
Consistent adherence to company’s SOP and Technical standards for works
Manage personal and company administration tasks
REQUIREMENTS
Matric
Computer literacy/COMPTIA
Electrical circuits 101 AC/DC/Solar
RF/Microwave Basics
Structured cabling
Fibre optic reticulation
Valid driver’s license
A minimum of 2 year in the WISP industry
Experience on Microsoft office
Microwave/Wi-Fi technology
High sites Construction and Maintenance
Working on masts
Extensive travel and remote work
Understanding of microwave systems
Must be capable in setup of routers and AP’s (Wi-Fi-LAN)
Must be capable in setup of wireless links
Must be capable in setup of VOIP phones
Wide understanding of AC and DC electrical circuits
