The Business Manager is expected to act as the primary manager of a designated service station. This includes meeting the day-to-day operational requirements in line with expected KPIs, KBIs and KVI’s (key performance, behavioural and value indicators), as well as creating new business value by identifying and taking advantage of opportunities for innovation and growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
Improvemulti-divisional business growth,profitability, cash flow and total turnover(our main divisions include fuel, shop, and food).
Customer relationship management–manage the ongoing shifts of retail consumer expectations around convenience and personalisation, which includeboth retail and commercial related debtors, build relationships, identify, capture and manage customer expectations, improve team customer service, use consumer digital tools and increase profitability.
Co-select, oversee, assess, and develop agile teams in terms of the proposed business strategy.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Basic financial knowledge and application skills.
Environmental and on-site consumer lifestyle insights to enable strategic implementation.
Basic understanding of accounting and its role within the service station divisions.
Computer proficiency (mainly MS Outlook and Excel).
Fuel industry experience preferred; or
Extensive sales and marketing experience preferably in a relevantretail environment; or
Multi-division management experience.
Must have strong leadership ability.
Provides team with clear direction - able to develop and communicate actionplans and targets forming part of the business strategy
Knowledge of basic labour law
Oversees and enables day-to-day running of the station, merchandising, stock, cash,and debtor management.
Knowledgeable of HSEQ (health and safety).
