BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE
FOR A WELL-ESTABLISHED TRAINING INSITUTE
NORTHERN SUBURBS, CAPE TOWN
Reporting to: GENERAL MANAGER
Main Job purpose
Reporting to the General Manager, The Business Development Executive is responsible for the generation of new business, whilst expanding the current business and achieve set monthly targets in order to achieve the TRAINING INSTITUTE target as a whole. To provide superior customer orientated service to all our current and future clients, ensuring quality training delivery and continuous follow up after training interventions, to build strong relationships and loyal clients.

Achieve monthly financial targets through active monitoring of activity ratios
Main duties & responsibilities
Continuously keep up to date and informed on the various courses offered by the Training Institute
Keep informed on all skills development, employment equity and B-BBEE information and similar that can impact on the business.
Identify and sign on Provincial and National clients
Identify and sign on clients within the public and private sectors
Attend tender briefing meetings to gather information to assist the tender manager to compose successful tender proposals (when required)
Assist with the drafting of tender proposals and collecting all the relevant company documents from the Tenders Department within the Group
Research the clients’ business on the internet prior to client meetings, so that all worthwhile comments may be made during the meeting
Conduct presentations / personal visits and to close deals with new clients
Formulate correspondence for quotations and other admin related tasks with clients
Conduct cold calling and telephone canvassing for new business
Set up appointments with potential prospects for business
Communicate all client queries / incidents to management
Load all clients and contacts on the server in order to comply with the current manual system requirements to ensure accurate accounting transactions.
Record all communication activities on the current manual system in order to track ratio and ensure agreed standards are met.
Compiling of daily, weekly and monthly sales activity reports
Servicing and visiting existing clients at least once a month, with the aim to extend and explore potential new business
Achieving Target of new business per month, which will be part of your personal sales target as agreed by management
Seeing a minimum of 12 new clients per week.

PC skills required: extensive use of Microsoft Excel and Word and experience with Microsoft Power Point.

Proactively identifying new areas of learning and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job
This position may require after hours and weekend work occasionally
Ensuring to and utilize the correct procedures and documentation as per Training Institute QMS
And any other reasonable requests
