Our client a large Manufacturing company requires a Senior Finance Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
The role of the Senior Manager Finance is to plan and organize all Financial Management operational objectives in consultation with the General Manager Finance, Senior Managers across the business and the Finance management team. Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to guide financial planning, compliance and reporting objectives with the aim of implementing the corporate strategy. Lead, organise and manage the Finance business unit including tax, financial accounting and reporting, costing and accounts payable functions.
Implement corporate strategy and determine departmental policies and procedures for taxation, costing, financial accounting and reporting and accounts payable functions.
Design and implement efficient financial systems and control processes to support compliance and governance.
Liaison with external auditors, IDC Investment Analyst, Head Office consolidation department and group Financial departments, tax authorities and external suppliers.
Assist the General Manager Finance in implementing long term business strategies to enhance and sustain business performance.
Financial control and accurate and trusted financial reporting, tax compliance and implementing effective management accounting systems.
Compliance with tax legislation, Companies Act, IAS and IFRS, group accounting policies and governance frameworks.
Daily financial accounting and control management to long term compliance and financial system and process implementations.
Desired Experience & Qualification
10-12 years in Finance disciplines, of which 5-7 years previous management experience. Preferably from a Manufacturing background and Multinational exposure will be advantageous.
BCom Honours degree.
CIMA will be very advantageous.
In-depth working experience in Tax, Financial Accounting, Costing and Accounts Payable/Receivable will be advantageous.
Macro and micro economics.
Financial Accounting – IAS/IFRS Management accounting.
Tax legislation ERP system and interaction Report writing.
Conversant in Spanish or Portuguese.
