Job Description:
Looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in technology and product innovation and new business development. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join the Product Sales & Marketing Division in Cape Town. The BDM will play a part in shaping the company strategy around growing revenues for broadband products and emerging technologies, helping the company to remain at the forefront of the market through innovation & service excellence. This role is specifically focused on growing the revenues and managing the products within the Wi-Fi product portfolio. The role requires strong technical understanding of access technologies as well as a background in sales and account management. Demonstrated experience in managing commercial relationships and engagements is essential. This role will report to the Head of Product and will interface with all levels of the organisation. Management reporting is a central component of job outputs
Duties & Responsibilities
Drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients
Develop a growth strategy focused both on growing product line revenues and customer satisfaction
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs for product enhancement
Arrange business meetings with prospective clients & promote the relevant products within your portfolio.
Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines, developing commercial pricing with the Head of Product
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
Project managing product launches and post launch support
Managing and driving all supplier and vendor commercial relationships and contracts
Developing go to market promotions, plans and strategies to support sales and revenue growth.
Acting as the business owner and advocate for the company products and services, which may be under development, in use or undergoing extension or redevelopment
Routine and ad-hoc management reporting on all acidity and product performance
Manages all online assets related to product portfolio; collateral, mobile applications; user journey and reporting

Strong commercial understanding and good business knowledge
Good technical understanding of relevant technologies
Demonstrated strategic thinking ability
Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Show an aptitude for a problem analysis and resolution.
Strong negotiation skills.
Project Management and co-ordination abilities.
Show pro-active initiative and strategic thinking
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a Commercial or technical field
At least 3 years’ experience in a business development or sales management role within the ICT sector or within a relevant online company. Previous experience in a commercial or product management role will be advantageous
