Role Summary Reporting to the National Service Manager, the Field Service Working Foreman plans and directs projects and maintenance activities within the MCC Construction Machinery Division and its assigned Countries. Achieving Customer After Sales Excellence. Accountabilities / Key Performance Areas Supervising Field Service Technicians Implement and maintain effective safety policies and procedures Manage and coordinate Service Processes Responsibilities (but not limited to) Signing according to signature regulations Coordinate common issues with National Service Manager Establish safe work procedures Assist the National Service Manager in planning process Correct unsafe practices and conditions Enforce Safety rules Detect troubled employees Inspect work sites for hazards and complete hazard assessments Investigate all accidents and incidents reports Review all field service reports and ensure the required corrective action is taken Ensure proper maintenance and repairs of Company equipment are carried out 100% Monitor, enforce, and comply with health and safety rules and legislation Conduct regular tool box meetings Ensure Technicians are productive and efficient Administrative and organizational duties within the MCC CM Division Chase customers for payment Ensure all field service vans are always in required standard Conduct Monthly field service vehicle inspections and record condition Time keeping and attendance (late coming; A.W.O.L.; sick; I.O.D.) Approve all technicians leave Escalate all unresolved customer problems to National Service Manager for attention and resolution directly with the customer concerned. Ensure all jobs are costed timeously. Follow up on all warranty work and assist with submission of claims. Interview the technicians after they have completed the job. Represent company at meetings with customers as required – follow up on all issues to be actioned. Attend all matrix meetings scheduled for assigned geographical area. Conduct interviews with National Service Manager pertaining employment of technicians when required. Report department standing to National Service Manager – agree action plan. Dress and presentability consistent with company rules and standards Responsible for ensuring that all field service equipment is compliant with health and Safety acts. Assist the Company in any necessary duties to achieve Company goals. Technical Qualification Certificate ( EME or Auto Electrician ). Minimum 7-9 years related experience and/or training. Foundation equipment experience an advantage Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word; Excel; PowerPoint, Baan.
