Job Description:
Established fruit exporter is seeking to employ a Logistics Coordinator with 2 - 3 years experience as a Junior Logistics or Stock Coordinator. Successful candidate must be able to work under pressure, be deadline driven and extremely accurate.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include:
Logistics Operations:
Monitor packing and intakes of stock between packhouse and depot
Assist with truck offloading in port
Assist Port Quality Control if required
Check and verify daily stock
Check Stock against Protocol
Generate requests and coordinate inspections and re-inspections
Ensure adherence of market and service provider protocol
Ensure that all required export documents have been collected, saved and captured prior to export
Make vessel bookings with Shipping Lines
Book container loadings with hauliers
Allocate stock to vessels and arrange, communicate, and monitor loading of fruit with third parties
Verify and confirm Dispatches
Processing and linking of files in QX/BC365 for all allocated clients
Confirmation of mates in QX/BC365 for all allocated clients.
Manage reverse logistics
Documentation Distribution and Collation
Data management and capturing
System maintenance
Season and weekly volume forecast
Manage and control operational costs within budgeted (quoted) costs
Provide details of extraordinary costs and deviations on vessel file
Draw allocated summaries and reports for weekly operations meeting for analysis
Requirements:
B.Comm degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management
Two years of experience as junior Logistics Coordinator or Stock Coordinator
