Purpose of the position:
Planning, Kickoff, Output, Subcontractor Management, Installation Management and Site Document Management and Acceptance
The successful applicant will be responsible for,
Among others, the following functions:
Site Supervisors are responsible to do their own daily planning to meet target assigned by the rollout manager.
Each Site Supervisor is required to visit each Site in build progress at least once per day.
Approval for site access or special key.
Subcontractor and client contactors’ information and schedule for Kick off, confirm with all the attendees the schedule.
Documents gather TSSR, Material BOQ, Scope of work in contract, structure analysis report, approvals (such as Ref and MCO’s approval, Landlord permission) others.
Actions on kickoff:
Confirm drawing and layout on site, re-check the information in the TSSR and drawing, if any changes occur, first keep records then feedback to site design to apply the change order and submit VO to clients. In principle no change are allowed on kickoff. If necessary, we need re-survey this site and need customer’s Regional Project Manager to provide an official change request to client’s Regional manager.
Re-confirm material BOQ on site, local and foreign.
Re-confirm scope of work on site.
Kick off meeting minutes with attendee’s signature.
Prepare required As Build documentation.
Daily monitoring of sub-contractor performance.
Subcontractor team tools check and OHS documents and PPE equipment check.
Daily quality control tick sheet and check.
Subcontractor quality assurance by means of internal quality check.
Implementation progress match the regional plan.
To oversee that Sub Contractor adhere to all installation procedures.
To see that any material shortages on site are reported and resolved.
To do internal Quality check on Sub Contractor’s work and ensure rectification of snags.
Site commissioning, trouble-shooting and clearing of alarms.
Site Document Management and Acceptance:
Alarm Clearance in order to hand sites over to Managed Services.
Ensure as Build documents are completed correctly and submitted on time by sub-contractor.
The successful applicant must have the following qualification, experience and knowledge
National Diploma or similar Telecommunications qualification
FTTS / FTTX design experience
3-5 Years of new installation and swop project experience in a supervisory role
Project Management experience
Have wireless 2G, 3G and 4G experience
Basic understanding on general software knowledge and equipped with excellent IT and MS software skills
Must have a good background of mobile networks especially 3G/LTE networks. Civil background in additions to this will be an added bonus. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in 3G/LTE installation;
Must be able to perform under pressure and should have good time management skills. He should be well spoken and be able to interact with contractors as well as management
Must be in possession of a valid climbing license and have good health
Must be able to use Site Master (for sweep test), test Phone and E1 Tester (is a plus)
Have good verbal interpersonal communication skills coupled with strong technical aptitude with the ability to tackle a task logically, and perseverance to see through all obstacles
Must possess and demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills
Must have good troubleshooting skills; site commissioning and clearing of alarms
NOTE: Own transport and valid Driver’s License essential
