Transfers and Registrations
Our client is a large law firm in Sandton and requires the services of an experienced conveyancing paralegal / secretary to assist with transfers and registrations and full function commercial and residential conveyancing.
Management of Conveyancing matters, which includes but not limited to:-
Management of Property transactions:
Vets all property transfer related transactions
Management of Transfer processes
Management of various types of Transfers which include:-
Capturing of electronic instructions for the firm,
Attend to investments as per the firm’s requirements
Monitors and Tracks of transaction until registration;
Manages and addresses all unfounded delays related to transfers
Ensures that the parties to a transfer are regularly appraised of the status of registration to keep their clients abreast of matters.
Applying for rates clearances, applying for transfer duty/transfer duty exemption certificates, obtaining levy clearances
Keeps the conveyancer abreast of all matters as well as lodgement and registration of the matter at the Deeds Office
Paralegal qualification beneficial
A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience is required in a well-established conveyancing firm or bank in all general and specialized aspects of conveyancing
Proficient experience with Ghost Convey and SARS e-filling in relation to property transfer work
Experience with developments and SIMS system would be advantageous.

Ability to prioritise and manage many different aspects of a busy conveyancing practice
Drafting and editing skills
High ethical standards
The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to understand the needs of clients and to communicate effectively with them, as well as to manage client relations. In addition, the candidate must be ambitious, achievement-oriented, focused and able to work well under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
This is a demanding but stimulating position which will require working outside of normal office hours, when necessary.
Matric and 8+ years conveyancing experience in a large or reputable law firm environment.
