A Manufacturing company based in Pretoria is looking for a Sales Representative to employ.
Duties & Responsibilities
Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
Quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
Provide customers with product samples and catalogues.
Identify prospective customers.
Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports
Obtain credit information about prospective customers.
Prepare, complete and submit order forms.
Check stock levels and get reorders from customers.
Explain technical product or service information to customers.
Contact current or potential customers to promote products or services.
Demonstrate products to consumers.
Recommend products or services to customers, Answer customer questions about goods or services.
Advise customers on the use of products or services.
Distribute promotional literature or samples to customers.
Negotiate prices or other sales terms.
Monitor market conditions or trends.
Study product information to acquire professional knowledge.
Arrange delivery of goods or services.
Verify customer credit information.
Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources –market intelligence.
Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work
Developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
Analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Preferably a Bcom Marketing (or similar) degree or studying towards a Bcom degree
Strong Financial Accounting background
3-5 years sales experience
Valid unendorsed drivers’ license
Clear Criminal Record
Basic: R15 000.00
Restraint of Trade: R4250.00
Cell phone allowance: R1 500
Use of company Fleet vehicle
Uncapped Commission, ranging from 0.75% of Roofing sales to 5% on Special items
