Our client is one of South Africa’s leading law firms providing clients with innovative solutions. They are looking for a dynamic Human Resources professional to join their Management team.
Legal industry knowledge/experience is essential.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities -HR Delivery -HR Consulting -Talent Management -Performance Management -Employee Branding -Recruitment & Selection -Transformation/ Diversity Management -Graduate process Responsible for managing and coordinating the development and delivery of end-to-end HR solutions for Business Unit portfolios within the firm. This includes: -Providing a generalist human resources consulting and advisory service to Business Unit Management, partners and employees to enable them to deliver their business objectives through appropriate talent strategies, structures, systems, processes and practices; -Translating HR strategy into client specific talent solutions that span the full HR value chain; and -Developing implementation plans and tactics designed to ensure the realization of the firm’s HR and business objectives.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualification & Experience • Recognised degree or diploma in the human resources or a related field. • Six to ten years HR exposure. • Solid generalist HR consulting experience. • Solid experience in managing the delivery of employee lifecycle events. • Experience in planning and managing change in diverse environments is essential. • Experience in developing and implementing HR audit and control procedures and policies. • Proven track record and ability for taking charge of situations/projects. Competencies • Knowledge of general human resources policies, procedures, labour legislations and practices. • Strong business acumen. • The ability to create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships. • The ability to work in partnership with employees, specifically management, and with other HR practitioners. • The ability to work in a shared resources mode. • The ability to optimise HR delivery channels. • Excellent knowledge of HR policies, processes and procedures to answer general HR queries. • The ability to provide leadership vision, direction and support. • Change management skills. • Excellent communication and networking skills across all levels. • Demonstrate an ability to offer coaching, mentoring and counselling services to others. • Facilitation skills. • The ability to be a consultant ( not a doer) - demonstrating versatility and the ability to ‘wear different hats’ based on client needs. • The ability to accurately collate and analyses information. • Requires a sound understanding of the Law Society and how it operates, as well as a knowledge of Law Society requirements pertaining to CAs • Results orientated – strives to get things done.
