Global software vendor is looking for a Marketing Manager in Johannesburg paying up to R1.2 Million fixed CTC
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing marketing campaigns that promote the company and its products and services. The Marketing Manager plays a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space as well as driving website traffic and acquiring leads and customers.
The Marketing Manager also identifies and evaluates new digital technologies and uses Web analytics tools to measure site traffic to better optimize marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media and display and search advertising.
Duties & Responsibilities
Design and oversee all aspects of our digital marketing department – including our marketing database, email, paid media and display advertising campaigns.
Manage and collaborate with selected outsourced agencies (SEO, Paid Media, etc.) and report on their performance, while assessing against goals (ROI and KPIs).
Define strategy for traffic acquisition off-platform. Quickly identify and onboard the right media and technology partners to execute on that strategy.
Manage and work closely with the Social Media Manager to ensure that the social strategy is executed and brand presence maintained, and results are assessed against goals (ROI and KPIs).
Manage and work closely with the CRM Manager to develop all automated communication flows that improve lead conversion and generate sales.
Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
Oversee and manage all digital projects.
Develop and monitor campaign budgets across all digital channels – optimising spend around ROI.
Prepare accurate reports on our marketing campaign’s overall performance.
Increase the size of the company's database.
Identify trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on key insights.
Plan, execute and measure experiments on conversion tests.
Drive creation of rich content across ecommerce platforms.
Collaborate with internal teams to create and optimise the online user experience for any prospecting customers.
Utilise strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
Building on market, consumer and retailer trends, and using analytical approaches to scan, assess, identify, and prioritise new areas for further business growth.
Responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing plans and managing marketing budgets.
Work closely with the Marketing Manager and CMO to devise forward looking marketing strategies across all digital channels and all product categories.
Work with your team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.
Ability to manage several projects and work streams, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Work with the Marketing Manager, CMO and CFO to develop and execute successful business plans and achieve those set targets.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Min 5 years’ working experience in e-commerce marketing mandatory. Additional marketing skills developed within the IT or FMCG environment is advantageous.
Minimum bachelor's degree level ideally in marketing, technology or similar field.
Possess superb knowledge and experience in leading and managing Digital Media, Social Media, Brand and Online to Offline (O2O) include managing agencies.
Strong project management skills – prior experience of managing (leading) projects involving cross functional teams is preferred.
Confident in presenting analysis, diagnosis and solutions to senior management.
Strong strategic thinking, planning, and priority setting.
Up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.
Experience in managing direct reports.
Strong leader – ability to lead by example, manage and influence individuals that report to you, giving them guidance and allowing them to achieve results.
Strong communication skills – ability to convert complex concepts into simple, well-articulated communications.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills that translate into a strong understanding of the marketing landscape.
