Maintain an awareness of information technology and related service trends, identify innovation opportunities, and plan how to benefit from innovation in relation to business needs.
Analyse what opportunities for business innovation or improvement can be created by emerging technologies, services or IT-enabled business innovation, as well as through existing established technologies and by business and IT process innovation.
Influence strategic planning and enterprise architecture decisions.
Business Relationship Management
Work with the business function to improve business performance via process and technology
Acts as a liaison between the business function, and contracted application outsource providers to develop business requirements, manage vendor/ service provider performance, service requests, service request monitoring and delivery, and continuous improvement, etc.
Develop multi-year business technology capability roadmaps with the business and the enterprise architecture team
Develop a “healthy and well-managed initiative portfolio” with Portfolio and Demand Management Committee
Work with business leadership to evaluate joint initiatives and proposals to see how they align with established roadmaps and business priorities
Identify business value when developing ideas with a focus on digital awareness, risk assessment, business continuity and business capability requirements
Identify strategic business function opportunities both short-term and long-term and track adoption across the relevant departments via the Business Process Committees
Build and manage a relationship with business
Maintain creativity and innovation by staying on top of industry and technological trends
Ensure joint initiatives are set up for success and align with the corporate strategy
Review requirements with change management and business transformation teams
Business Requirements Definition
Identify solutions and analyse requirements before acquisition or creation to ensure that they are in line with enterprise strategic requirements covering business processes, applications, information/data, infrastructure and services.
Co-ordinate with affected stakeholders the review of feasible options including relative costs and benefits, risk analysis, and approval of requirements and proposed solutions
Establish and maintain identified solutions in line with enterprise requirements covering design, development, procurement/sourcing and partnering with suppliers/vendors.
Manage configuration, test preparation, testing, requirements management and maintenance of business processes, applications, information/data, infrastructure and services.
Maintain the availability of relevant, current, validated and reliable knowledge to support all process activities and to facilitate decision making. Plan for the identification, gathering, organising, maintaining, use and retirement of knowledge.
Identify Change Management and Enablement Impacts
Maximise the likelihood of successfully implementing sustainable enterprise wide organisational change quickly and with reduced risk, covering the complete life cycle of the change and all affected stakeholders in the business and IT
Identify Process Improvements
Maximise the likelihood of successfully implementing sustainable enterprise wide (and end-to-end) processes with reduced risk, covering the complete life cycle
Coordinate the various Business Process Committees with the Process Owners and Custodians and ensure that an approved improvement is maintained and tracked
Ensure continuous business participation in system and process optimisation initiatives
Ensure business process documentation exist and is being reviewed on a regular basis with business stakeholders
Ensure that an annual demand plan for the function is created, costed and approved for implementation. This is to be done in close collaboration with all business stakeholders
Desired Experience & Qualification
Information Technology Degree or relevant qualification. We are looking for good Technical Credentials.
Extensive Business Intelligence experience within the Mining sector.
Advanced Analytics capability and experience.
Strategic thinker capable of designing business solutions.
Solid Management experience in projects and general departments, teams and outsourced resources.
Microsoft PowerBI certification/ qualification (Preferable)
Business Relationship Management certification/ qualification
BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) related certification/ qualification
The individual will be working in a matrix organisation, within a diverse cultural environment and report to international/global management teams, therefore a high level of EQ and professionalism is required.
Package & Remuneration
Salary is negotiable based on experience and skill.
