Talent Acquisition Director based in JHB paying up to R1.5 Million
Our client is an international accounting practise based in the United States of America. They require an experienced and successful Talent Acquisition Director that will be based in Johannesburg. The role will pay up to R1.5 Million fixed CTC
The Talent Acquisition Director will define, develop and drive the international recruitment strategy for our client. This is a hands-on leadership position which will require a self-driven, charismatic leader with experience in developing and executing recruiting strategies as well as managing both in-house and outsourced full life cycle recruiting within a start-up organization that has a personalized and high-touch culture and operates across multiple geographies.
This a remote work position that will require regular interaction in across multiple international time zones and thus flexibility is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Strategy
Design and continuously refine effective short-and long-term talent strategies to source and attract the highest calibre accounting, audit and tax professionals to support our company strategy and future markets.
Create a vision for, and plan of, an exceptional candidate experience.
Maintain and continuously improve employment brand through multiple channels, including the strategic use of social media and university relations.
Talent Acquisition Execution
Partner closely with the company’s leadership to ensure a compelling and consistent employee value proposition (EVP) that supports our ability to recruit and retain top talent.
Design, plan and execute sourcing and selection processes from identification through on boarding
Create and promote employee referral and brand ambassador programs, explore internal growth opportunities for current associates and develop relationships with friends of the organization to create a constant pipeline and ready talent.
Bring data-driven rigor to enhance the end-to-end candidate experience and optimize our ATS to capture relevant data and develop CRM capabilities/strategies so we can maintain a pipeline of strong candidates and gain insights through analytics.
Conduct competitive research on market trends, gather candidate feedback and benchmark best practices using insights to improve processes in relation to recruiting and retention
Talent Acquisition Team Effectiveness
Attract, develop and retain a highly effective and scalable team of in-house and/or outsourced talent acquisition professionals.
Develop and implement workforce plans, refine hiring forecasting capabilities, and establish/report on key recruiting metrics and KPIs to measure team effectiveness and provide data-driven, actionable insights for high volume recruiting efforts.
Manage feedback loops and use engagement, exit and other data to inform efforts.
Devise and consistently improve upon recruiting processes and technology for efficiency and effectiveness.
Create and manage approved talent acquisition budget, including appropriate incentives for TA team based on KPIs
Establish performance metrics for the team to drive visibility, accountability and effectiveness.
A degree in Human Resources, business, or related field or an equivalent qualification
10+ years of recruitment experience ideally in the accounting industry
Candidates that have worked for Audit firms will be given preference
You must have managed a team of recruiters and been hands on
You must have worked for an agency and then went in-house and you are now at a director level
Demonstrated experience defining and executing a comprehensive recruiting strategy
Experience creating exceptional candidate experiences from initial reach to on boarding
Success in recruiting in-demand knowledge professionals
Established history of delivering high quality results, personally and through the TA team
Adept user of Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, social media
Proven builder of, and leader to, team of geographically-dispersed, high performing talent acquisition professionals
Experience with pre-employment assessment tools and cutting edge technology preferred
Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Approximately 10-15% travel
