The successful candidate would be responsible for developing and implementing Human Resource & International Human Resource strategy; systems; processes and procedures in the group.As well as developing appropriate policies to support and strengthen the organisation workforce and provide both Human Resources advisory, and administration services to support the achievement of business goals. Drive any organisational design changes in line with business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop human resource strategy to support delivery of the organisational strategy and business goals.
Translate Human Resources strategy into operational plans and ensures HR processes support the strategy by recommending appropriate HR interventions.
Analyse the divisional strategic plan and develops Human resources Division people plans to support execution of Division scorecard deliverables
Oversight over all recruitment in the business
Review staffing levels in conjunction with divisional heads and conducts manpower forecasts prepares manpower plans and prepares the overall manpower budgets
Training & Development
Develop appropriate training interventions to build capacity of the Organisation to deliver the strategy
Accountability over alignment of training and development to talent and succession planning.
Identify core competencies across all job families and recommends appropriate training interventions to develop core skills and capabilities
Talent Succession Management
Develop talent management programs.
Develop succession planning for senior roles
Develop and oversee implementation of attraction and retention strategies
Operations & Admin Services
Develop and oversee implementation of the necessary HR administrative and welfare policies and procedures: employee record management, leave management compensation and benefits administration, welfare schemes. discipline and grievance handling
Develop and monitors HR dashboard on critical HR operations related KPI’s (e.g. employee turnover, average number of training days, number of pending leave days per employee, Discipline and grievance etc.)
Monitor procurement plans of various divisions are properly coordinated and implemented as per the budget provisions.
Employee Performance management
Accountable for performance management system implementation to drive execution of Corporate and Division scorecard.
Accountable for the coordination of development of performance contracts to ensure that divisional targets are achieved
Oversee the management, capturing of performance contracts, performance reviews and calibrations
Oversee employee attraction, motivation and retention
HR & Admin Policies
Accountable for updated HR and Administration policies that support the HR strategy and Administration procedures to ensure alignment with the relevant legislation.
Develop communication structures to ensure that employees are kept abreast of development concerning conditions of service and other policies and procedure
Reward & Recognition
Develop appropriate reward and recognition policies to drive a high-performance culture
Facilitate implementation of the Industrial Relations policies, codes and procedures to minimise individual or group grievances/complaints.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
Min 5 years experience in HRM with IHRM knowledge
Min 3 years managerial experience
Computer literacy in MS Suite,VIP Payroll, HR Premier or any related I/HRM packages
MBA will be an added advantage
Experience in Mining industry and managing payroll will be an added advantage
