Adaptable problem-solver required to work in fast-paced telecommunications environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Engage with Management and Executive Leadership in creative solutions to influence future order intake
Conduct regular client meetings to understand and advise clients in accordance with their strategic business requirements and to assess and improve on service delivery
Pro-active research into competitor services/products
Compile and present account strategy outlining sales account plans, forecasts and pipeline management for new and existing clients
Manage the cultivation and maintenance of company and client relationships
Sell/cross-sell products and services to existing and new
Facilitate all customer-related contact sessions (e.g. meetings, quarterly review, strategic planning sessions).
Ensure sales target variance is regularly tracked against account pipeline
Assist with the preparation of contractual agreements
Provide monthly sales forecast and weekly qualified pipeline/forecast reports
Liaise with Technical and planning stakeholders to obtain their (technical) inputs in designing customer solutions
Ensure that the information provided to the Bid team is accurate to improve the bid and thereafter to close the sale
Receive order request/mandate from customer and coordinate both technical and commercial process
Provide regular feedback regarding maintenance performed to ensure that the business delivers on its promises
Ensure that ATPs are sent and returned timeously
Manage client training
Develop and control annual budget and forecasts / pipeline on monthly basis
Prepare and control both sales and expense budgets
Manage related admin; quotes, processing orders, CRM management and reporting
Desired Experience & Qualification
3-year tertiary Sales & Marketing qualification
2 years’ experience in sales, project management/account management
Telecommunication or related industry experience
Proven track record in new business development
Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong conflict and negotiation skills
Ability to work collaboratively and translate needs into services
