The Regional Sales Manager will work cooperatively with other members of the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets at the appropriate gross margin by focusing on growing the installed base of the company’s product offering and by increasing customer satisfaction. The RSM will manage the external sales and customer service teams within the designated region. The RSM will ensure that the business plans and sales pipeline are continuously adjusted to suit market activity focusing on high probability opportunities. The RSM will be responsible for attaining the targets set out for the region in its totality.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage their sales activities effectively
Manage the regional sales teams’ activities and keep the direction and focus on creating and closing opportunities
Always maintain a co-operative and positive working environment, building a team with core competencies
Communicate effectively Manage key accounts while proactively seeking new opportunities
Interact with clients with the view of building long term partnerships
Apply knowledge of the company’s product and service offering with the view to meeting customer requirements
Build an understanding of the clients’ business, commercial and technical environment
Transfer automation and customer centric related knowledge to the sales team
Desired Experience & Qualification
Completed Technical Diploma plus extensive experience selling:
• Motor control, Power Distribution, Sensors, Machine Safety.
