The MDM Administrator will be responsible for operations and maintenance of the Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform and assist in the design and development of MDM and security architecture across the group, applying knowledge of mobility systems and security to ensure the design and implementation of mobile technology. This position will directly contribute to the overall enterprise mobile architecture and lead operations and maintenance and support the vision and strategy around mobile device management (MDM) spanning various mobile platforms.
Under the direction of Information Security management, provide service in the management and operation of mobile devices and their respective systems. Provide advanced installation, tacking, and support for mobile devices and their respective management systems. Provide guidance and support for the Technical teams with regards to mobile devices.
Promoting a Passion for Technology: The Mobile Device Management Administrator is expected to evangelize best practices for mobile device management, architecture design and Information Security standards, while maintaining an awareness of new / emerging technologies and their potential application to existing service offerings. An understanding of architectural solutions to address functional and non-functional requirements is critical, as is hands-on experience implementing technical solutions and best practices. As a technical thought leader, the Mobile Device Management Administrator also understands that the architectural vision for the enterprise transcends the scope and lifespan of any individual project or effort.

Ingenuity is crucial to the problem solving and critical thinking skills required to craft successful and innovative Mobile Device technology and clinical solutions. The individual merges business requirements and technical solutions to deliver sustainable and high-performance solutions architecture. To achieve the goals and requirements, the Mobile Device Management Administrator is engaged throughout the solution delivery and operational life cycle, working closely with key organisational groups, clinical departments, 3rd parties and stakeholders.
Communication: The Mobile Device Management Administrator is expected to proactively identify and address technical strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats within the Clinical and mobile device environment. The individual will build a shared understanding of the solutions with the capacity for communicating that vision through technical materials, verbal presentations, and facilitating inter-team and departmental discussion. Collaborates with management across functions and disciplines to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of mobile device systems and services.
The Mobile Device Management Administrator must have excellent organisational, technical and communication skills in order to plan ahead for operational and project requirements. The Mobile Device Management Administrator must demonstrate accuracy, efficiency and excellent time management in the completion of his/her own responsibilities and have adequate knowledge of vocabulary of mobile device terminology in order to participate in interdisciplinary meetings as a subject matter expert.
Compliance: The Mobile Device Management Administrator is responsible for the effective IT architecture, Information Security best practices and solutions integration of mobile devices as they relate to medical and health technologies that store, transmit and collect Patient data. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the health technology eco-system. This individual ensures that mobile device technology system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organisational policies, methodologies, Information Security minimum standards, as well as international and healthcare best practices. The individual is responsible for ensuring that mobile devices conform to Information Security standards in line with current standards, government legislation and industry requirements with regards to privacy, data retention and Information Security.
Project management: This individual will deliver IT technical and infrastructure projects and solutions within the standard Project Management Methodology. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations and clinical staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the architected solutions. Participation on projects is focused on smoothing the transition of projects from implementation staff to operational staff by performing operations activities within the project life-cycle.
·Design and implement best practice information security controls and standards
·Responsible for inventory management of assigned mobile device assets
·Apply mobile device management knowledge of enterprise mobility systems to solve operations and maintenance, architectural, engineering, and monitoring problems across the group.
·Architect integrated mobile device solutions.
·Effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues.
·Identify, define, prioritise and address risk within mobile device technology.
·Provide guidance and recommendations with regards to IT architecture and Information Security
standards as it relates to mobile device management.
·Develop standard operating procedures in line with the principle of reducing both clinical and IT related risk pertaining to patient data and care.
·Reporting to and communicating with IT Manco and relevant stakeholders with regards to mobile
·Ensures that the IT architectural design and recommendations support reliable, secure and timely
access to clinical information and patient data to facilitate the provision of high-quality patient care.
Perform other IT related Information Security duties as required.
Architectural design and solutions implementation
·Architect MDM solutions to meet business requirements.
·Design and participate in the development of strategies for the future direction of the MDM and clinical solutions.
·Design, Plan, document and lead MDM projects from an IT perspective; participate in the IT Department's solutions development projects as a system specialist and solution provider, with the overall aim of providing well engineered, secure and integrated MDM solutions.
·Provide computing, communications and security infrastructure design solutions; participate in
infrastructure and application architectural teams; provide design reviews and implement solutions for the Safeguards of the clinical computing environment and associated patient information.
·Conduct technical evaluations and proofs-of-concept to evaluate software and hardware products from external vendors and report on the solutions as a technical expert and advisor.
·Initiate and implement MDM architecture and design changes, while ensuring that existing infrastructure services are not negatively impacted.
·Design and plan for growth, accommodate for new technologies, and meet business requirements for the IT components of mobile systems and health technology in terms of the enterprise architecture framework.
·Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the architected MDM solutions and services, with the aim of providing flexible, sustainable, secure and cost-effective solutions.
Engineering and Provisioning
·Engineering of MDM related solutions for various projects and operational needs.
·Re-architect existing MDM solutions and make recommendations on security controls, software
configurations, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with
standards and project/operational requirements.
·Develop and maintain installation, configuration procedures and Information security control
documentation as required.
·Contribute to and monitor compliance to system and security standards.
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for MDM and security control tasks.
·Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
Operations and Support
·Perform MDM security monitoring, verifying the integrity, confidentiality and availability of all hardware, resources, systems, data and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying compliance to set information security standards.
·Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
·Provide Tier III/other support per request from various clinical and medical departments and business units. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
·Repair and recover from incidents in line with response plans. Coordinate and communicate with impacted business units and/or departments.
·Work closely with security providers and advisers to remediate MDM risks through technical and

·Mobile application package creation, upload, distribution and version management
·Creation, maintaining and distributing profiles and rules to remotely apply/enforce device settings
·Monitor the requirement and application of security patches, service packs and upgrades relating to MDM on a regular basis.
