My Client in the travel and tourism industry is seeking a Duty Manager to join their team
The main purposes of the Duty manager is to respond courteously to guests’ requests, general operations of the front desk, smooth room booking service and overseeing all operations in the absence of the Lodge Manager and Assistant Manager.
Ensuring that all staff carry out their assigned Duties and Responsibilities to the required company standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
To undertake Front of House duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests, to ensure a superb customer service experience.
To build a good rapport with all guests and resolve any complaints/issues quickly to maintain a high quality customer service.
To deal with guest requests to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay.
To assist in dealing with customer complaints in an effective and courteous manner, providing or seeking solutions as quickly as possible.
To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes.
To assist in keeping the Lodge reception area clean and tidy at all times.
To undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and switchboard, to ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
To administer all routes of reservations to ensure that room bookings are made and recorded accurately.
To ensure that all reservations and cancellations are processed efficiently.
To keep up to date with room prices and special offers to provide accurate information to guests.
To be readily available at all times
To ensure that rooms have been serviced and maintained to the standard laid down by the company
To ensure that guests extras are recorded correctly and accommodation charged accurately and invoiced to correct company or individual
To ensure that the credit control procedures are strictly adhered to.
Prepare arrivals in the morning and communicate with the relevant departments
To manage the Petty cash when on duty and to make sure cash balances with the petty Cash book
Assisting with stock take of Bar, Food and Amenities and admin related to this.
Placing orders when necessary, whilst considering the budget allowed and if needed getting approval from senior management.
Make sure systems are followed and correct procedures carried out
Preparing hand over for night porter: BF tables, handing over security tag and cell phone
Checking tasks that have been issued have been carried out in accordance to instructions
Following instructions given by Management on a daily basis
Using initiative and stepping up to the plate when left alone on shift without supervision
Setting a good example for juniors and being an ambassador for your Lodge
