We are looking for an experienced HR Consultant to work on a variety of human resource projects and to provide sound and practical advice to clients. You will help the company optimize everyday processes such as recruitment, as well as implement strategic HR plans and technology.
The ideal HR Consultant will possess in-depth knowledge of human resource management. They will have experience in consulting as well as dealing with actual HR issues. They will be strategic thinkers and problem-solvers with excellent communication and report writing skills. The goal is to maximize the value of our clients by helping them to achieve HR efficiency that will ultimately improve overall business performance.
Com in Human Resource Management or equivalent
3 - 4 years’ experience as a HR Consultant within a consulting environment.
Knowledge of HR policies and processes.
Knowledge of Labour Legislation (EE Act, BCEA, Labour Relations).
Experience in managing HR projects.
In-depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods, and best practices.
Ability to strategize and formulate business plans.
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and consulting skills.
Willingness to travel to attend to client’s needs. (own Car and driver’s license are a must)
Ability to work independently as well as in a team and be self-motivated.
Analytical, benchmarking, problem solving and co-ordination skills.
Conduct audits of HR activities to ensure compliance.
Initiate and assist with human resource programs and projects.
Conduct research through various methods (data collection, surveys etc.) to identify a problematic situation.
Review current HR systems and processes and recommend solution/modifications to address issues.
Assist with the formulation of strategic and practical plans to address human resource matters Developing, revising, and implementing HR policies and procedures in line with HR best practice.
Managing employee grievances and chairing of disciplinary enquiries
Assist with developing job profiles and job grading.
Assist in recruiting, training and management of personnel.
Assist to devise plans and techniques to drive change and culture management.
Help establish control systems for compliance with business methods and HR practices.
Assisting with the development and coordination of recommended changes regarding workflow
Preparing and maintaining reports related to specific HR projects.
Developing methods for compiling and analysing data for reports and special projects
Presenting training sessions related to specific HR programs.
Provide advice and recommendations to HR personnel for resolution of daily issues.
The ability to liaise with different stakeholders, including management.
The ability to negotiate with potential and existing clients.
The ability to work under pressure and manage critical deadlines.
The ability to source new business/Business development skills.
Office and professional etiquette.
Must enjoy working in different projects.
Self-confidence and strong organisational skills
Ability to improvise: Because organisations are always evolving and changing, HR consultant should be able to foresee and implement multiple solutions.
Excellent listening skills: Before solutions can be discovered, problems need to be fully understood. HR Consultants must carefully listen to the needs of the clients to implement solutions that address their specific needs.
