Duties & Responsibilities
Screen and analyse new and existing business pricing requests:
Analyse and format data received from broker
Gather, assess and analyse all relevant information needed to:
Provide a new business cover proposal
- Review existing business premium rates and terms and conditions
Prepare quality cover proposal documents for both existing and new business (including program runs to determine rates) which are accurate and timeous:
Compile, monitor and analyse claims experience for new and existing business
Assess and calculate the risk rate, free cover limits and underwriting requirements for the products requested utilising the current pricing tools.
Provide feedback to Product Development on current benefits and opportunities
Determining suitable terms and conditions so that the risk can be managed.
Consider wider topics of risk management such as occupational and industry risks.
Identify and solve problems within the business environment
Liaise with clients (both external and internal) on rates, products, tenders, revision and other risk issues
Collaborate with reinsures for benefit rates on a treaty - and facultative arrangement basis
Assist with ad-hoc projects and miscellaneous queries
Meet deadlines set
Retrieve data from administration systems
Assist new recruits in up-skilling
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric and a tertiary qualification will be an advantage
1 year group risk experience
Data management skills
Advanced MS-Office, Excel and Word
Analytical thinking (including problem identification and problem analysis).
Attention to detail
