International company with head office in Milan Italy - South African business delivers award winning software solutions within the payments industry to central banks globally. Looking for an experience IT Technical Architect who s comfortable travelling internationally regularly (once boarders open) and who enjoys hands on technical work as well as being more strategic.
Duties & Responsibilities
The role will report directly into the Enterprise Architect which is overseen by the IT Manager
Engage with Central Banks around the infrastructure required to implement software systems.
Engage with Central Banks that run software systems to understand their current and future infrastructure states.
To consult and advise internal stakeholder teams around infrastructure technology choices and options when developing software.
To review our 3rd party products, understand vendor direction and advise internally and externally what is happening and what our customers and the company should be considering. Part of this function is to produce 3rd party product roadmaps and approved 3rd party product combinations for our customers and software systems.
Responsible to participate in the RFI, RFP and tender bidding from a technical view point.

EXTERNAL & INTERNAL INTERACTION
The role will report directly into the Enterprise Architect which is overseen by the IT Manager and Software Factory Manager.
Leading customer interactions and presentations at executive level
Concepts and strategies
Planning and organising (E&I)
Analysis (E&I)
On time and delivering according to requirements (E&I)
Following instructions and procedures
Arranging architectural forums, auctioning and follow through
SWF and TS interaction as well as collaboration
Perform audits on TS internal environments ensuring it matches the customers current and future environments
Perform audits on external (Customer) environments ensuring it matches the roadmap and TAD specifications. (E)
Provide guidance to TS from an installation, 3rd party software & latest trends (I)
SECURITY Collaboration with security manager to ensure Perago’s software is compliant with the latest security regulations.
