SAP Consultant: This tactical level leadership position in the mining and construction/OEM industry executes specialised SAP functions for company with regards to the following: Discipline/Business process SAP subject matter expert Custodian of blueprint for specific area System change control Quality assurance of application, data and related documentation Entry level requirements B.Degree/ Diploma (ICT business analysis) 6 years experience Experience of system implementation and process modelling methods and tools-process flow, change management, SAP experience as an SME essential Project management Knowledge requirements SAP certification JSOX ICT requirements MS Excel MS Word SAP Business Process Role Plan: Aligns business processes with business strategic drivers and objectives Interpreting the business and/or information strategy and deriving business requirements for systems and information from these. Execute: Executes Business Process Modelling and SAP: Providing input to Business Process Modelling including processes, , process flows, process triggers, inter-dependencies, roles and responsibilities process measures, standards, policies and supporting systems. Providing Business Process input to Functional Consultants during SAP requirements analysis, design, configuration/development, testing. Analysis of current systems and data architecture and mapping these to business functions/ processes. Included is the analysis of shortcomings in existing systems to meet the needs to the business environment. Analyse and document business requirements for a specific business domain from a business function, business process and information perspective. Defining business process performance measures. Mapping systems/ system functions to business process steps e.g policies, standard procedures, templates, etc. Defining roles and responsibilities and mapping these to business processes. Defining internal and external process inter-dependencies. Developing SOX complaint business processes. Execute: Maintains SAP System integrity: Aligning systems analysis, design, development and testing with the business requirements. Communicating business requirements with system personnel for detailed functional analysis and design/ prototyping purpose. Sourcing and utilising multiple sources of information that provide insight in the business and systems architecture. Approves Specification of information/ reporting requirements. Performing liaison with users, business process owners, operational units and systems consultants: Liaising between the SAP specialist and the users and is a champion of the solution within the business. Provides SAP transactional support within designated area of expertise. Developing Business Procedures/ Operational Instructions. Working together with the end user documentation developers and trainers to identify business processes and technical system tasks documentation to be develop/ maintained. Providing input into and updating training materials. Developing templates/ Forms as applicable. Conducting facilitated sessions. Conduct Change management (people): Updating SAP documentation. Updating role information. Drafts a change management and communication plan. Preparing communication briefs. Training users. Providing support. Escalating complex problems and queries for resolution. Conducts SAP change control: Receive and analyse change requests. Determines leads and communicates the impact of the system requirements on the relevant business process. Specifies detailed changes. Obtain authorisation to proceed. Advises Business Process Owner on business impact, benefits, costs, etc. of new requests. Advises Business Process Owner regarding SAP and other systems functional impact on business processes and vice versa. Obtains end-user authorisation. Represent the user community for a specific SAP functional module on the Change Control Board. Conducts testing as per procedure: Define Integrated Business Process Test Scenarios. Defining, executing and gaining approval of simulation testing. Conducting simulation tests to ensure quality. Provides feedback with regards to systems testing.
