A very reputable financial service provider in the insurance industry is urgently seeking a strong independent and organised Commercial Claims Consultant. The ideal AA candidate needs to have Fais and RE in line with DOFA and 2-4 years experiance within the Short Term and Commercial Claims industry.
Qualifications and Experience:
150 Credits (NQF Level 4) Or in line with DOFA
Clear criminal and ITC record
At least 4 years’ experience in Short Term Insurance Claims
At least 2 years’ experience in Short Term Commercial Claims
Must have Aggregate experience
Computer Literacy – MS Office: Work, Excel, Outlook & other short-term software
Key areas of responsibility:
Handling of commercial motor and non-motor claims from start to authorisation of payments
Communicate with clients, the responsible party, their insurers, solicitors and various other parties involved in the process, by telephone and/or by written communication
Ensure effective and timely claims management and settlement (in line with binder agreement SLA’s)
Adequate reserving of claims
Discuss the claim with suppliers and repairers as necessary
Adhere strictly to service level agreements
Advise clients on general queries and insurance issues
Authorizing payments within mandate
Consulting team leader when technical assistance is needed in respect of complex or problematic claims
