Leaders in the Automotive related products sector has a fantastic opportunity for a Group Finance Business Partner
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Performance Areas
Monitor and analyses performance of offerings (KPI’s)
Develop business performance “exception” based reporting and commentary
Develop sales, margin and inventory forecasting/planning, including understanding major business and economic drivers
Work with Business Unit Heads to develop optimal service, pricing and promotions strategies, including complex regression analysis to understand impacts of actions being contemplated
Proactively provide Business leaders with sound financial analysis and guidance in order to grow the business profitably, including competitive reviews, strategic analysis, and other required ad-hoc work. Help carry out long-term financial modelling and scenario planning.
Manage large scale strategic initiatives for the Business Unit. Participate, review, maintain and support the financial strategy of the Business Unit to ensure it matches the Company’s initiatives and goals. Assist in implementing strategies approved by the board. Ensure that the financial impact and effect of strategic changes are taken fully into account in the development of the Business Unit’s financial plan and in the reporting of current results
Monitors Net Working Capital (NWC) and Cost Controlling
Drives the gathering, monitoring and analysing of market trends
Drives the gathering, monitoring and analysing of competition (offerings, go-to-market strategies, Products & Services)
Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for projects and products within the Business Unit
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
Master’s degree or CA (SA) a plus
8 to 10 years’ experience in related work with retail experience a plus
Strong Financial background with extensive experience in budgeting and Forecasting
Result oriented with strong ability and desire to effectively lead and manage a project from start to finish.
Self-directed, highly motivated and strong initiative; able to establish own agendas and originate work plans.
Experience managing financial staff; must be able to provide accounting and financial guidance
Exceptional analytical skills
Strong interpersonal, communication (oral & written) and presentation skills
Individual must be able to identify necessary analysis and make independent decisions to give direction to business partners and to finalize direction on key initiatives.
Must possess the ability to understand trends and results at both a detailed and a strategic level, and to inter-relate issues between the two.
Proven expertise in developing complex financial models and forecasts to support corporate planning decisions
Must have the ability to assemble large volumes of data and inputs and organize for strategic decision making with an acute sense of urgency
This Senior Manager manages Senior Individual Contributors and/or Managers who exercise latitude and independence in assignments. Responsibilities include policy and strategy implementation for short-term results (1 year or less); the operational direction and people leadership of a department. Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex. Influences on the others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.
