Job Description:
Mining Capital Equipment Supplier that requires a Machine Control Systems Designer to develop and design specific machine control software. on a 3 to 6 months Contract Basis
Duties & Responsibilities
DESIGN ENGINEER: MACHINE CONTROL
Johannnesburg South
CONTRACT POSITION
Design engineer required on a contract basis to assist with Machine Control design and Harness design aspects for underground mining Machines and underground Trackless Mining equipment.
Well established database of clients in Africa and abroad.
Qualification
B Eng or B-Tech degree in Electrical - Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering or Similar recognized by ECSA
Requirements:
Control system software development
Understanding of control system communication networks
Understanding of hydraulic control circuits
Understanding of auto electric control circuits
Understanding of digital control systems
Benificial experience:
Experience in mobile software development
Understanding of trackless drivetrains.
Experience within a trackless mining environment
Experience within a manufacturing environment
Project management capabilities
Understanding of CAN bus systems
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Develop control software for machines
Updating and improvement of current control software
Commissioning and fault finding on new machines
