Job Description:
Production Planner required to join the Centurion factory of a dynamic manufacturer.
Minimum Requirements
Relevant Tertiary Qualification
3+ years’ experience in batch production planning process, preferably automotive components.
Duties will include but not be limited to
Generating Master Production Schedules and Manufacturing Orders, forecasting inventory requirements, optimizing inventory levels and assist with organization to evaluate and implement an inventory management system.
Liaise with Sales, Operations and Finance Teams to plan and monitor inventory levels.
Review sales forecasts, customer demands and schedule production batches based on inventory levels and production lead times and create Master Production Schedule.
Based on Master Production Schedule, create Daily Production Plans on a rolling week basis.
Participate in the logistics planning and contracting for raw materials, WIP and finished product.
Schedule and direct Product Planning Meetings and track production performance to schedule.
Coordinate production material requirements to ensure adequate inventory of materials and sub-assemblies.
Analyse capacity and resource requirements and coordinate necessary adjustments.
Maintain Bill of Material for all production processes, to ensure accurate raw materials, WIP and finished goods inventory levels.
Prepare weekly and monthly production reports.
Liaise with Quality Assurance Department to ensure production fall-outs are duly reported.
Package & Remuneration
R20 000 to R25 000 pm CTC
