Our Client based on the East Rand are currently looking for an Operations Manager. They are seeking a proven Operations Manager who will be responsible for production, maintenance and Health & Safety. The successfull applicant must have strong strategic and commercial abilities. The key performance areas will be strategy implementation, financial management, stakeholder relations, people management, governance, compliance and risk management, and operations management. An Operations Management post graduate qualification is essential as well as having a mechanical engineering or industrial engineering initial qualification.
Duties & Responsibilities
The following key performance areas are covered by the position:
Manpower utilization, competence and performance
Strategic leadership, annual strategic analysis and strategy development/business planning and budgeting process to ensure sustainable earnings growth
Monitors customer satisfaction and timeous resolution of customer complaints
Ensures effective and efficient representation of the company to facilitate growth of the target market and customer base
Ensures the implementation of a critical variable monitoring system and tracks variances against targets to take corrective action when required
Risk management, compliance and corporate governance
Manufacturing throughput and asset/cost management analysis
Supplier and stock holder policy management, communication and liaison
New technology, product development and continuous improvement
Quality and Environmental Management standards and systems
Occupational Health and safety management standards and systems
Desired Experience & Qualification
The following qualifications are essential: Operations Management post grad and a Mechanical Engineering (preferably) or Industrial Engineeering.
Proven Operations Management and Business Management experience.
