Our client in the Office Automation sector and based in Johannesburg is looking for a Production Sales Specialist to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Drive the sales strategy through direct and indirect sales channels to develop a market for Production Printer sales.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive company objectives of profitable production print sales and service revenue, client retention & growth, along with strategic initiatives of production print, including net new client growth.
Prospecting new clients directly in the industrial and commercial print industry, using the KSE sales methodology.
Develop a sales pipeline through direct and indirect sales channels and follow up to maintain the focus on potential production print sales.
Be responsible for customer needs analysis, solution development, including preparing solutions and providing demonstrations, proposal generation (including pricing), negotiations and maintenance of the production print base through ongoing client review.
Participate in client engagement on complex solution offerings.
Maintain and grow client relationship and assess potential future growth.
Oversee site inspections, system installations in the field, managing customer expectations, train and handover of the system to the end customer.
Pre- and post-sales ‘3rd Level Support’ through the full lifecycle of the sale for direct and indirect sales channels
Report on sales activities on a regular basis and communicate progress, using Salesforce CRM tool
Forecast on possible sales units on a monthly basis on production units.
Maintain a strong knowledge of Company Production and competitive equipment, applications, and solutions in the industrial and commercial print industry.
Assist with knowledge transfer to the direct and indirect sales teams and sales management with respect to activity generation including identification of vertical market opportunities and target accounts.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Relevant Tertiary education preferable
In-house technical/product training
At least 5 years sales & pre-sales experience as well as experience in the following related print segments: digital production print industry; Inkjet technology. Have a good understanding of commercial printers, i.e. their business model and operation.

Willingness to travel within South Africa and abroad if necessary (passport will be required)
Valid driver’s license and own reliable motor vehicle is essential
