Job Description:
Leading Retail Organization seeks a qualified/experienced Junior Buyer to join their dynamic team and to provide a support function to the Buyer.
Duties & Responsibilities
Do you have the following QUALIFICATION?
Diploma/ Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management or Similar
Do you have the following EXPERIENCE?
2 to 4 years of experience ONLY gained in a similar role within a large FMCG/Retail environment
Liaising with suppliers on a regular basis and ensure competitive pricing (deals) are maintained
Assist with a listing of new lines relevant to Company’s market
Assist stores with managing stock days as well as absolete stock for each supplier
Liaising with new suppliers interested in listing with the Company’s Franchise Group
Assist with Regional Promotions for new stores and re-launches as and when required
Assist with promotions for the region
Keep track of competitor pricing in the trade and ensure that Company is benefiting from best pricing in the region
Meet with KAM’s on a regular basis to obtain insight to Company’s position in the market place – plan accordingly to maximize sales
Assist with forecasting of stock
NON-NEGOTIABLE
Excellent communication in English and Afrikaans
Valid SA ID Book
Able to work in the Cape Town Northern Suburbs
